The Story
A series of designs for Swapfiets stores
Swapfiets is the world’s first bike-as-a-service company with a circular business model. Founded in 2014 in the Netherlands, the scale-up has quickly grown to become one of the leading providers of micro mobility in Europe, with more than 280,000 members in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Spain and the United Kingdom. Swapfiets strives for more livable European cities, a 100% circular product line and wants to be climate neutral by 2025.
In October 2022, Swapfiets officially joined the B Corp community to solidify their mission.
The concept of Swapfiets is quite simple: Swapfiets members always have a working bicycle for a fixed amount per month. And if there are unexpected problems, the bicycle will be repaired or immediately replaced within 48 hours at no extra cost. Swapfiets is available in more than 50 locations in the Netherlands.

The Product
When Swapfiets approached us to create a sustainable and circular service centers design, we already knew what to offer them.
We have completely developed Swapfiets store concepts from the general idea to each piece of furniture based on our experience with sustainable materials and the brand’s unique details.
For example, to decorate mobile partitions we used tens of thousands of bicycle bells, which also work as an eye catcher and photo background. For the organization of equipment and bicycles we thought of special storage systems that were made in our production with the highest quality.
