The West Beat complex located on Lelylaan Station provides ample space for around 150 apartments and enough office and restaurant spaces, workplaces, cultural events, and meetings, as well as an underground parking facility. The project has been described as a “wow effect” by the local government and various media outlets. As a bridge between the city center and Nieuw-West, West Beat aims to facilitate better connectivity. Additionally, the building is expected to enhance the desirability of the area as a residential location while transforming the Lelylaan.
The Amsterdam municipality sought a “new icon” to enhance the connection between Nieuw-West and the area within the A10 ring road, which Lingotto has accomplished with a versatile structure that includes a large open space for meetings between residents, users, and locals. According to Martijn Bakker, the developer of Lingotto, West Beat focuses on companies with an open character, creating a vibrant atmosphere in the building that interacts with the neighborhood. The ‘Elephants Room’ is another workspace where entrepreneurs can be visible and easily connect with visitors.
Furthermore, the building is environmentally friendly with an EPC standard of -0.05 and features green facades. ADRF’s institutional clients benefit from the project’s financial and social returns, creating a wonderful combination.
